Tea Against Colds and Coughs: An effective Natural Remedy that Really helps

If you have a cold or a cough, you can make your own tea that will really help you. By using homemade foods such as apple, lemon, red onion, and honey you can improve your health quickly and effectively.

Apple tea, red onion, and lemon against cough and cold

Ingredients needed for preparation:

— 2 liters of water,

— 1 apple,

— 1 lemon

— and 1 red onion

Procedure:

Put water in a saucepan, then add the well-washed: apple, the lemon cut in half, and onion with chopped root (cleaned, without the root).

Put the pot with the ingredients on the fire and cook the contents until the apple cracks and the tea turns a nice yellow color.

If a lot of water evaporates, then add a little more, to recharge.

When the tea is cooked, squeeze the boiled lemon (if there are any seeds, take them out), and I even eat the apple.

The tea is drunk hot and that is why it is best to put it in a thermos so that you do not have to constantly heat it. It acts quickly, warms you, and relaxes you.

You can also make double the amount, because the more often you drink the better.

I make a smaller amount and manage to drink all the tea while it is still hot…

Tea with red onion, honey, and bay leaf against cough

To prepare this natural remedy you will need:

— 1 kg of red onion, but you can also use ordinary onion, although this is the best,

— 500 g honey,

— 10 bay leaves, maybe more or less

It is prepared as follows:

Peel an onion and cut it into quarters.

Put it in a pot together with the bay leaf (preferably in that cookware without water) and add as little water as possible.

Pour about 100–200 ml of water. Cook covered on the quietest, about an hour or so. If the water evaporates, add more.

The strain on a thick strainer or even better through gauze, because the medicine is stronger the less waste you have.

When cool, mix it with honey and store it in the refrigerator.

It is drunk as a syrup, three times a day, in two tablespoons, and the effect is felt immediately after the first day. From this amount is usually obtained a jar of 1 kg, although much depends on the onion itself.

The mixture should be gelatinous, but it happens to come out liquid, again this depends on how well it is filtered.

You can take some of the contents out and put it on the fire or it can be heated in the microwave and liquefied and then given to children or adults.

Although onions are the basis for this remedy, the taste is not bad because laurel greatly improves it.

But you can if you want to add cloves or cinnamon to further enhance it.

A few more teas against cough

1. Thyme

Singers and people who use their voice a lot, love thyme tea.

This medicinal herb is very effective against infection of the vocal cords and lungs. In addition, thyme has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect.

In addition to relieving pain, it speeds up healing by acting on the underlying cause of the cough.

Thyme acts as an antibacterial. Therefore, if the cause of the cough is a germ, in that case, this herb will try to destroy it.

2. Lemon tea with honey and cinnamon

As already mentioned, lemon is a very noble antibacterial. However, its acidity can be unpleasant when it comes to direct contact with the tonsils.

Therefore, it is good to combine lemon with something that would alleviate that acid. Honey, in addition to doing just that, also has the power to kill bacteria.

When it comes to cinnamon, it is also very effective in coughing up and creating mucus.

At the same time, this spice enhances the action of other ingredients.

3. Mint tea

Mint tea helps with shortness of breath, ie relieves an irritating feeling in the throat that makes you cough, which alleviates the symptoms of irritated respiratory organs.

4. Ginger tea with honey

Cough teas, as already mentioned, taste great.

However, not everyone likes the taste of ginger, especially in the form of tea. Since this is already the case, we recommend that you give it a chance, because it is really very good for your health.

With ginger tea, you will heal very quickly, and the sore throat will soon disappear. Like other cough teas, ginger dissolves the slime.

This means that it will help you because it cures the inside, which is very important when it comes to coughing.

You can drink all these teas against cough, whether it is a chronic or temporary cough.

None of them have side effects unless you are allergic to an ingredient.

Finally, for the best effect, these teas should be drunk several times and in a few days you will see a difference, cough and cold will be reduced. Sometimes the medicine is very simple, we only need the right prescription.
